As a potter I spirit my pieces into existence. There is a point during the creation when I invite the slab-constructed piece to stand up and draw down Spirit. A silent dialogue occurs as I intentionally blow breath onto it, symbolically giving it life. There is an understanding that it was created for someone who will hear its call.

My designs combine folk art, tribal earthiness and strong spiritual archetypes such as hearthkeepers with capable hands and spirit horses intuitively embellished after firing.

Each piece is unique, one of a kind and glaze-fired in an outdoor raku kiln.
